讲座题目: The Ru-Vojta inequality and its applications

内容概要：The joint work with Paul Vojta has found many applications, especially in the study of the G.C.D. problem and related topics by Julie Tzu-Yueh Wang and her collaborators. In this talk, I will give a brief introduction to the Nevanlinna theory and describe the so-called the "Ru-Vojta inequality". I will then discuss its applications. Finally, I will present the most recent joint work with Julie Tzu-Yueh Wang regarding the Campana's orbifold conjecture.

主讲人简历：汝敏，美国数学会会士，休斯顿大学教授。1990年获得美国圣母大学博士学位。1990-1992年，新加坡国立大学助理教授。1992-1995年，哈佛大学助理教授。1996.1-1996.6 伯克利数学科学研究所研究员。1995年起至今历任休斯顿大学助理教授、副教授和教授。汝敏教授在复分析、复几何、数论和微分几何，特别在Nevanlinna 理论与Diophantine 逼近的关系做了十分出色的研究工作，在四大顶级数学期刊Annals of Mathematics 和 Inventiones Mathematicae 等世界著名杂志上发表论文60 余篇。汝敏教授还是美国国家自然科学基金项目和美国国家安全局数学项目主持者。担任Houston Journal of Mathematics、Taiwanese Journal of Mathematics 和 Electronic Research Archive 多个杂志的编委。
